Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVAL AT DELHI

On arrival at Delhi International Airport, our company representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel in Delhi. Day free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2DELHI SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, proceed with Delhi sightseeing tour with the first visit to the Jama Masjid – the largest Mosque in India. Visit Chandni Chowk – oldest, biggest bazaar of Old Delhi. Later, walk up to Fatehpuri Masjid and enjoy a rickshaw ride till Red Fort. Here our driver will meet you, drive past Red Fort (a 17th-century historical fort in Delhi) and reach Rajghat, a memorial where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. An eternal flame burns on one side of this memorial. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb – the first garden-style tomb of India. The main highlight of this tomb, inspired by Persian architecture, is the four garden squares with water passage channels surrounding the tomb. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan – residence of the President of India and India Gate – an archway built in honor of the soldiers who died in World War I. Visit Qutub Minar built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak in 1193 to mark the beginning of Muslim rule in India. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 3DELHI-JAIPUR (235 Km/Approx. 5 Hrs.)

After breakfast, proceed with a drive to Jaipur. On reaching Jaipur, check-in at the hotel. Day free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 4JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, head for Jaipur sightseeing tour with a visit to the Amer Fort. It is a hill fort built in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh. This fort displays various prominent monuments like private halls, pavilions, private chambers for the King and the Rajput women. It stands as a testimony to the golden era of Rajput rule in Jaipur. The reflection of the fort falling on the Maota Lake is truly captivating. Enjoy an Elephant ride here to and fro the fort. Next, visit the City Palace. It is the Royal Palace of Jaipur located on the banks of Pichola Lake. It boasts former private and public meeting chambers of the Kings, giant silver vessels, courtyards, beautifully-designed gateways, intricately-carved private chambers of the King and much more. Visit the Jantar Mantar – an astronomical observatory that features the World’s largest Sundial – Samrat Yantra. End the day with a visit to Hawa Mahal – the Palace of the Winds. This is a five-storey palace built in the year 1799 during the Rajput era in Jaipur. The main highlight of this palace is the intricately-designed 953 windows adorned with beautiful latticework. Day 5JAIPUR - AGRA EN ROUTE FATEHPUR SIKRI (240 Km/Approx. 5 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Agra. En route, visit 16th century Fatehpur Sikri that boasts some of the magnificent monuments built during the Mughal Era. Here visit the Panch Mahal (a five-storey palace built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar), Buland Darwaza (the highest gateway in the world built by Emperor Akbar in 1601 to commemorate his victory over Gujarat) and much more. Continue driving to Agra. Agra: It is a beautiful city located on the banks of River Yamuna. It is dotted with various historical structures that reflect the opulence of the Mughal era in India. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. After some relaxation, visit the Agra Fort that resembles the magnificent Red Fort in Delhi. The Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience) and the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) are must-see attractions here. Overnight stay at the hotel in Agra.

Day 6AGRA - DELHI (205 Km/Approx. 4 Hrs.) - DELHI - KATHMANDU (By Flight)

Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal – the most extravagant symbol of love, dedication and purity ever that took almost 22 years to build. It is an ivory-white marble monument where rests the mortals of Mughal Emperor Shahjahan (who built Taj Mahal) and his wife (Mumtaz). An interesting fact about this stunning edifice is that it turns pinkish in the morning, milky white in the evening and golden at night as the moonlight falls upon it. Watching the sunrise over this iconic monument is truly a sight to behold. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, our company representative will drive you to Delhi Airport to board your flight to Kathmandu. On arrival, our company representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu (Approx. 4,600 ft). Kathmandu (approx. 4,600 ft) is the capital city of Nepal. It is a spiritual paradise for those with a religious bent of mind. Not only this, it is quite popular among adventure lovers and trekkers. Day free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 7KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING

This day, gear up for an early morning excursion where you will enjoy a 1-hour scenic mountain flight (charges extra) to the Himalayas, soaring past the iconic Mt Everest. (Moutain flight is not included in the tour price, Payable extra). Get your cameras handy, as you will enjoy capturing amazing pictures of the Himalayas and the Kathmandu Valley. Return to the hotel and settle in for breakfast. Later, visit Swayambhunath Stupa located on a small hillock. It has been a hallmark of faith and harmony for centuries. This Stupa is believed to have been formed around 2,000 years ago. This sacred site of Tibetan Buddhists and Hindus is richly decorated with gold-ornated temples and vibrant prayer flags. Head to the Kathmandu Durbar Square located opposite the royal King palace of Kathmandu. The construction of various royal palaces at this site dates back to as old as the 3rd century. It houses various temples like the Jagannath, Kotilingeswara Mahadev and the Taleju Temple, belonging to the 15th century. You can see various other structures here inspired by the Newari architectural style. A massive earthquake in 2015 hit this area, which is still clearly evident in these structures. Next, visit the Pashupatinath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva (God of Destruction). It is the oldest Hindu Temple of Kathmandu. Later, drive to the Boudhanath Stupa – the largest stupa of Kathmandu. It is an important pilgrimage and meditation spot for Tibetan Buddhists. At the top of the Stupa are a pair of omnipresent Buddha eyes on all four sides, same like as that of Swayambunath Stupa. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 8KATHMANDU - CHITWAN (160 Km/Approx. 4-5 Hrs.)

After breakfast, proceed with a drive to Chitwan (Approx. 1,360 ft). On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Chitwan meaning “Heart of the Jungle”, is known for its wildlife sanctuary that is home to the endangered Royal Bengal tiger, sloth bears, Indian one-horned Rhino, Langur monkeys, Wild boar, Leopards and a wide variety of wildlife. Overnight stay at the hotel in Chitwan.

Day 9CHITWAN SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, gear up for a half-day excursion to the Chitwan National Park. It is the first national park of Nepal. Here, you will enjoy an elephant safari or a jeep safari through the core regions soaking in the rich wilderness and if you’re fortunate – you can spot the Royal Bengal tiger. Simply put, it is a great idea to explore the wildlife of Chitwan. Overnight stay at the hotel in Chitwan.

Day 10CHITWAN - POKHARA (135 Km/Approx. 4-5 Hrs.)

After breakfast, drive to Pokhara (Approx. 5,710 ft). Pokhara also called the city of Lakes is the 2nd largest city of Nepal. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 11POKHARA SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, your Pokhara sightseeing tour begins with an early morning visit to the Sarangkot (if the weather permits) to soak in the captivating sunrise views over the Annapurna mountain ranges. Return to the hotel and settle in for breakfast. Visit the World Peace Pagoda (Approx 3,600 ft.) is a Pagoda-style monument that symbolizes World Peace & Order. Located atop the Anandi hills in the Kaski district of Pokhara, it was built under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii (founder of Nipponzan Myohiji). Visit Devi’s fall (Patale Chango) whose water mysteriously vanishes underground and traverses through the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and underground tunnels. Close to the falls is a popular wishing well where you can toss a coin and make a wish. Head to the 16th century Gupteshwor Mahadev Caves (4,245 ft) that consists of a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva that preserves a huge Shiva lingam made of stalagmite. Later, drive to the Tal Bahari Temple – a double storeyed Pagoda-style Hindu Temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, located along the Phewa Lake. Enjoy a boat ride at the Phewa Lake. Visit the Bindyabasini Temple (3,000 ft) dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati (a form of Goddess Parvati). It is a common sacred site for Hindus and Buddhist monks and is a temple of great cultural value among the people of Nepal. In the evening, walk through the Pokhara’s Purano Bazaar that displays a string of red brick houses representing Newar architecture, and enjoy the typical Nepal ambiance. Overnight stay at the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 12POKHARA - KATHMANDU (180 Km/Approx. 5-6 Hrs.)

After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu. On reaching, check-in at the hotel. Day free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 13KATHMANDU DEPARTURE

After breakfast, our company representative will transfer you to the Kathmandu International Airport to board your flight back home with Beautiful memories of your tour conducted by Travel Across Oceans.
